Taiwan Part One - Qijin

When one thinks of Taiwan, I'm pretty sure that one of the places that is a MUST for visiting would be it's famous night markets. Scattered in many different areas around Taiwan, the night markets are like a small food heaven for both tourists and locals. First off, I'll introduce a new night market that I've never managed to visit before in my life. This night market pretty much specializes in seafood, with endless amounts of seafood stalls and larges restaurants dotted along the streets. This seafood heaven is located in Qijin, off the coast of Kaohsiung.

I'm Back!

 Tunnel to ZhongSan University, Kaohsiung

I'm finally back from my trip to Taiwan. For readers who have been reading my blog, I guess I should let you guys know that a family member of mine, that has been hospitalized, has finally been discharged, but will be going back for cancer treatment every once in a while. Luckily though, things seem to be looking up for now :) Other than visiting the hospital every day, helping my family members move in to a temporary house, and getting my own medical check ups (which trust me, takes forever and drags on for a few weeks), I've been having so much fun that time just totally flew by. Since the time I spent in Taiwan consisted of Christmas, my birthday, and New Years, there was quite a lot of things to celebrate hehe. I'm a bit surprised that the people in Taiwan don't really celebrate Christmas. They didn't even have holidays on that Christmas Eve or Christmas day itself. There was a serious lack of Christmas decorations too, sadly >.<

Tiramisu Charlottes

I think I'm in love in Tiramisu again :s It's been a long time since I've eaten one, because I always felt so disappointed with the ones I buy outside. Since I've been making SO many mousse orders, and a lot of them were tiramisu flavored, I managed to eat some of the leftovers that I had :P For some reason, after tasting my tiramisu for the first time in a long time (I haven't made them in a year or so), I actually loved the flavor. To be honest though, I was a bit disappointed (again) in the slightly mild coffee flavor. Perhaps I prefer a more bitter tiramisu? Apparently though, most of my customers liked how it tasted now, so I decided against adding more. I can't let my own personal preference change my products. I have to at least consider the preferences of the customers ^~^
